Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To assess the effects of chest compression alone versus chest compression plus artificial ventilation for adults and children experiencing an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. We will evaluate survival to hospital discharge, survival to hospital admission, one year survival, neurological outcome at hospital discharge and at one year, and return of spontaneous circulation.
