This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:
To evaluate the clinical outcomes of a low (< 100 units/kg) versus a high dose (≥ 100 units/kg) of unfractionated heparin, utilized as an intravenous bolus at the time of initiation of cardiac catheterization (that is immediately after arterial puncture), with or without subsequent heparin maintenance doses for the prevention of post-procedural arterial thrombosis in children.
