This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To compare home-based versus hospital-based phototherapy for the management of non-haemolytic jaundice in term infants up to 28 days of age. We will include specific subgroups for: duration in hospital, method of phototherapy, and criteria for readiness for discharge.
