This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

  1. To assess the analgesic efficacy of topical clonidine for chronic neuropathic pain in adults
  2. To assess the adverse events associated with the clinical use of topical clonidine for chronic neuropathic pain
