Summary

In recent years there has been an increasing interest in the production of ultrafine-grained material both for commercial as well as for investigative purposes. These materials exhibit mechanical and other physical properties, which are out of the ordinary and of great interest, in particular their remarkable strength and toughness and their potential for superplasticity at low temperatures [1]
