Summary

The aim of the study is to investigate the thermal exposure behaviour of the Al18B4O33w/AZ91 composite, with particular emphasis on the thermal stability of the interface between aluminum borate whisker and AZ91matrix alloy, and the effect of thermal exposure on the tensile properties of the composite.
