Summary

The present authors have reported on a technique of deposition coating on magnesium alloys with high purity magnesium for improving the poor corrosion resistance in magnesium alloys [1-5]. It was shown about sixty years ago by Hanawalt et al. [6] that heavy metal impurities deterioratively affect the corrosion resistance in magnesium and its alloys.
