Summary

The scientific paper deal about chemical composition's influences at steels, by geometry ingot as well as casting temperature, “segregation rim” defects in great forge ingot are represented.

The investigations have had on the basis mathematics model who was simulate at ingot solidification, in the sometime paper present some results obtained in this field until present. The results are for the established geometry simulated and the best technological parameters for diminish segregation tendency.

Practical application of investigation led to on projecting casting equipment for great ingot forge weight 20–220 t.
