Summary

In this paper, the choice of the different phases of the composite, the fabrication route and the 2D and 3D microstructural characterization of the obtained materials are presented. Finally, the mechanical properties of the final materials including the damage mechanisms studied by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) in situ tensile tests are presented.
