Summary

Results obtained from the presented example of application of simulation calculations confirm principally the assumptions consolidated on the base of practical experience. It was confirmed that the maximum compressive stresses occur at the depth corresponding with so-called Bielajev point. It was also found that in the examined case a stabilization of internal stress and strain level is obtained after a relatively small number (13) of shot impacts at the same place. That level is approximately 1.5 times higher than level obtained after first shot impact. Successive shot impacts at the proximity to the previous impact points lead to an equalization of the stress state in the sphere of individual material layers.
