Summary

We report here, on the single source sol-gel processing of NdAlO3 ceramic and NdAlO3/Al2O3 ceramic-ceramic composite which have important applications as solid-state laser materials, phosphors for fluorescent lighting, optical amplifiers and non-reactive substrate for high-temperature superconductors.
