Summary

This paper is an introduction to the investigation of the influence of composite waste materials additives on tribological properties of friction composite materials. These materials contain reinforcing fibres and various fillers which are widely used in polymer composites. Therefore, the introduction of this kind of wastes and a replacement of part of friction material components with them should, at the worst, lower the costs of friction composites production and contribute to a considerable decrease of the load to the natural environment.
