Summary

The purpose of this work is to develop a material and a fabrication technique for ceramic microfiltration membranes with the aim of low costs and high filter area. For a membrane with a flat shape the following solutions were worked out: the development of a ceramic material which allows the sintering of the support and the membrane layer in one step (= cofiring), the development of a green-in-green tape casting process for this material, fabrication of flat multichannel elements from the support/ membrane tapes.
