Summary
In the present paper, the mechanical properties of extruded AZ91 Mg alloy are investigated by tensile tests at room temperature. In addition, the mechanical properties of the Mg alloy processed by equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE) are measured to investigate the effect of texture on the mechanical properties. ECAE is a new process to attain large shear strain. Through this technique, large bulk samples with a very fine grain size can be produced.
