Summary

New magnesium wrought alloys with optimized zinc or lithium contents have to show here new possibilities. By using the alloying element lithium the ductility can be clearly increased. Zinc offers the possibility of age hardening and increases the yield strength to a large extent. On the basis of first test results new alloy developments can be presented.
