Summary
In order to develop heat-resistant Mg alloys for the thixomolding process, we have developed Mg-Al-Ca alloys and reported a good creep resistance of the alloys. In this work, we aimed at further improving the creep resistance by the addition of other alloying elements. The paper reports creep resistance of Mg-Al-Ca-X (X = Si, Zn, Mm, Ba, Sr) alloys and discuss the effects of each alloying element.
