Abstract

Exposure to a pollutant occurs when an individual encounters the specific pollutant. The science of exposure assessment is to assess how much, how long, and how frequently an individual is exposed to the compounds of interest. Accurate and reliable exposure-related information is essential for informed decisions about protecting and promoting public health.
