Abstract

S-PLUS is an integrated suite of software facilities for data analysis and graphical display. It is an enhanced, supported superset of the S language developed at AT&T Bell Laboratories. It contains standard statistical tools such as linear regression and smoothing, analysis of variance, generalized linear models, multivariate analysis, time series analysis, survival analysis and quality control charts. In addition, many complex, modern techniques are included. Further, it offers a language for expressing statistical models and tools for using linear, generalized linear and nonlinear statistical models.
