Summary

A comparison of bond development for selected conventional cobalt-bearing frits and their cobalt-free analogs is reported. Data are presented on frits for which cobalt replacement was made without significant formula change. Results obtained using different steels and pickling procedures are discussed. Enamel was applied by dry electrostatic powder spraying.
