Summary

A brief examination of several methods of applied microscopic tools for the evaluation of properties and performance of ceramic materials, processing, and finished products is presented. Examples of optical and scanning electron microscopic investigations will also incorporate the use of energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and various methods of sample preparation.
