Summary

Tensile fracture behavior of woven fabric coaling free SiTiCO fiber-reinforced SiC matrix composites has been observed both macro- and micro- scopically. The effect of fiber surface chemistry on the fracture behavior is also examined. The damage tolerance of (he composite is discussed with the fracture behavior of the composites.
