- ceramic colors;
- zircon-protected pigments;
- pigment-related faults;
- glaze environments
Research to extend the color palette of under-glaze colors by the development of zircon-protected pigments is described. Research to improve the quality of conventional underglaze colors is also discussed. This has involved an understanding of the mechanisms responsible for the formation of pigment-related faults.
