Summary

A computer aided method has been developed which allows increased solids loading in ceramic slurries by optimizing slurry particle packing. By use of the Andreasen-Funk relationship higher solids loadings have been achieved in alumina slurries having extended particle size distributions. The program methodology will be reviewed with data presented for slurries with various particle size distributions.
