Summary

Engineering ceramics coatings are developed in our laboratory (oxidation/corrosion protectant, bioactive surface). In this field, long term oxidation resistance for carboneous materials at elevated temperatures are investigated. In this paper we propose to examine the good refractory behavior of oxides allied to the inhibitor properties of phosphate compounds to prevent oxidation of polycrystalline carbon.
