Summary

A computer program has been developed which converts SediGraph 5100 data files to MX-type particle-size distribution files. The MX data files are compatible with the authors other particle-size distribution programs. The MX files are also DOS-ASCII files, which means they can be printed, edited, or imported into other graphics programs. Samples of three ball clays and one kaolin taken one year apart are compared using these techniques. These programs are all available on Cerabull.
