Summary

Experimentations carried out about preparation of raw materials for whitebody ceramic tiles by an innovative system of dry grinding and granulation are described. Particularly, an innovative grinding plant, by which it is possible to achieve a finer grain-size distribution of powder in comparison with traditional methods, and a granulation plant are described. The characteristics of the powders produced by this system and the performances of the tiles made by these powders are shown. Finally, the energy-saving advantages derived from this innovative technology are explained.
