Summary

Friction constraint from fixed load pins and twist errors from non-articulating fixtures are two of the most severe problems associated with flexure testing. Fast-fracture and high-temperature stress rupture experiments were conducted to measure the magnitude of these errors and the results compared to analytical predictions.
