Summary

A computer analysis is made of the errors introduced when average density is used in the Stokes' law for particle-size distribution of mixtures assuming Gaussian distribution for individual components. It can be shown that the errors generated depend on difference in densities, size distribution of individual components, and relative concentration. The importance of the interpretation of the data obtained is highlighted.
