Summary

Experimental design was used to screen several ball clays in order to determine which ones might be useful for increasing casting rate in a sanitaryware formulation. At the same time these clays were tested for their effect on strength in order to develop a faster casting formulation with equal or better green strength. Three clays showed promise for further investigation.
