Summary

Emulsion processing is a feasible technique for the synthesis of ceramic powders which have potentially a narrow particle size distribution. The use of this technique to synthesis a solid solution ceramic; namely cordierite is discussed. The resultant powders have been characterized using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy.
