Summary

The etched metal resin-bonded is a relatively new treatment of edentulous space in dentistry. This paper outlines the history and methods of the technique. The various methods of design of the metal superstructure and porcelain are also described. Lastly, the unique problems in cementation of the appliance are described, including concerns and strong points regarding the appliance.
