Summary

A process concept of combining today's technology of powder enameling with a greatly simplified metal preparation procedure is described. As it has been tested, porcelain enamel powders are applied directly over drawn parts and fired to produce acceptable quality. The process can afford significant cost savings in energy, labor, material and process simplification.
