Abstract

Behavioral operations is a field within operations management that studies human behavior in the context of operations. The discipline uses a variety of research methodologies including behavioral modeling, controlled experiments, and field studies to identify and understand relevant aspects of human behavior in operational contexts. This article gives a brief overview of behavioral operations and its recent applications in the subfield of supply chain management.
