Abstract

The Association of Asia Pacific Operational Research Societies, abbreviated as APORS, is one of the regional groupings under the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS). Its objectives are to develop operational research (OR) as a unified science and advance it in the Asia-Pacific nations through sponsoring international meetings, exchanging information on OR, encouraging AP nations to establish their national societies, and promoting OR education and applications. By 2011, APORS has 12 member societies and becomes actively involved in all IFORS activities.
