Abstract

The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP), also known as Division 2 of the American Psychological Association (APA), was founded in 1945–1946 and was one of APA's original 19 divisions. As per its mission statement, STP's raison d'être is to promote excellence in teaching and learning as they pertain to psychology. In realizing this goal, STP has evolved into an expansive organization that supplies teachers at all levels (high school, community college, college, and university) with a vast array of resources and services, as well as numerous opportunities for professional development.
