The many tests today that carry the name of David Wechsler (1896–1981) began with the 1939 publication of the Wechsler-Bellevue Intelligence Test. The tradition that he began has carried on under his name, through the many new tests on intelligence, memory, and achievement developed by leading experts in psychological measurement and assessment (see Table 1).
