“Workplace violence” typically conjures up images of mass murder by disgruntled employees. Broader definitions include other forms of aggression and a range of severity: threats, yelling and angry outbursts, bizarre communications, bullying, stalking, assaults, sabotage, and property damage. Workplace violence has varying impacts, including death and physical harm, fear and trauma, disruption and lost productivity, and employer liability.
