IDAWG (Isotopic Detection of Aminosugars With Glutamine) is a newly reported, in vivo, stable isotopic labeling strategy for quantitative glycomics of cultured cells. Detailed procedures are provided for glycan analysis using IDAWG including labeling, release of both N- and O-linked glycans, permethylation, and mass spectrometry analysis.
