Summary

This article proposes a way of estimating measurement uncertainty for direct weighing using an electronic balance (in the physico-chemical field) by resorting to the general information provided by the calibration certificates, in order to achieve the most accurate results, with a minimum associated uncertainty. Adapting a formula to specific conditions of the laboratory can be a useful approach when the maximum possible accuracy is required.
