Summary

An application of the noncentral chi-squared distribution is to describe the size of cohorts of wildlife species in predefined unit-area blocks. In some cases the whole cohort will be found in a particular block, whereas in others some of the cohort may have strayed outside the predefined area. This chapter discusses variate relationships for Chi-Squared (Noncentral) Distribution.

Controlled Vocabulary Terms

chi-squared distribution; control variate
