Abstract

The development of hetero-crown ethers containing neutral thio-, seleno- and/or telluro-ether donor atoms over the past 10 years is reviewed with the aim of providing a survey of the most significant advances in their preparations and metal-binding properties (especially toward d-block and p-block acceptors).
