Abstract

Donald Grey Barnhouse was born into a devout Methodist family in Watsonville, California. His father, Theodore Barnhouse, was married to Jennie Carmichael, and worked as a carpenter and contractor. Donald was the youngest of five children, and the only boy born to Theodore and Jennie.
