William Lee Bonner is the senior prelate of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, founded by Bishop Robert Clarence Lawson (1883–1961) in 1919. Bonner, known as chief apostle, is the third leader of the denomination following Bishop Lawson (1919–1961) and Bishop Hubert Spencer (1961–1972). Under his leadership, the denomination has experienced phenomenal growth from 155 churches in 1961 to 506 churches in 2007.
