Chapter 8 focuses on the MIMO signal detection for the spatial multiplexing scheme, space-time block codes, and MIMO precoding techniques. The frequently used MIMO detectors include linear detection, successive interference cancelation, sphere decoding, and convex optimization. The channel state feedback and the precoding techniques that aim to ease the MIMO receiver design are also discussed.
