Summary

When we write a proposal, we are usually offering to do some work or provide some product at a specified price for a specific customer. Our proposal has the best chance of succeeding if our product closely matches customer's needs, if our price is one he can afford, and if we can deliver our product on time. This chapter is a one-page synopsis that points: our proposal will succeed only to the extent that it meets our customers' needs. It presents fifteen questions that can serve either as a preliminary outline or final checklist for our proposal. Careful answers to these questions will help us package the information our customers are looking for and will help them make their decision quickly. It pays to show them right at the start that we know how to take their needs into account.
