Abstract

Alkene polymerization reactions proceeding by homogeneous metathesis catalysis are reviewed. Fundamental mechanistic aspects of these reactions are discussed with special emphasis on ring opening metathesis polymerization and acyclic diene metathesis polymerization chemistry.
