Abstract

Mass spectrometry (MS) in inorganic and bioinorganic chemistry has been established using sensitive analytical techniques in quite different application fields: the determination of major, minor, and trace element concentrations; for the characterization of surfaces; for precise and accurate isotope ratio measurements; and for the structural analysis of organic and bioorganic compounds. The review gives an overview on different mass spectrometric techniques and their applications
