Tony Dudley-Evans (born Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire, 1943) is one of the leading figures in the development of English for specific purposes (ESP). He was an influential researcher in genre analysis, coauthor of a number of successful and significant textbooks, an innovator in teaching and research approaches, and editor of an important journal.
