Abstract

In the early 21st century medical migration has become highly contentious in a context where OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) nations compete for the supply of global workers, including international medical graduates (IMGs) trained in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and elsewhere, in addition to countries in the OECD region. Eight key factors are driving this process.
