Abstract

This essay focuses on internal migrants, and links between migration and poverty and inequality. It looks at who these labor migrants are, how many they are, what socioeconomic status they belong to, what causes people to migrate, and what the impact of such migration is on people's and home communities’ well-being, and the inequality within these communities.
